THE STORY

This painting was created in Byron Bay, Australia, when I started working as a bartender, mixing drinks from herbal extracts. The trip to Australia was my time out after a traumatic period in my life that I was still coming to terms with.

After the late shifts, I drove back as usual to the warehouse converted into an apartment in the industrial area where I lived. A 20-minute drive through the darkness of the night, towards the moon. I kept seeing this image in my mind's eye, which became clearer and clearer.

By chance, I found an old frame and a poster discarded from a store to use as a painting surface. As if a higher power was providing me with what I needed. The frame is old, but I was never able to replace it because the worn look fits so well with the overall idea. Cutting costs, I bought black and white wall paints. From the basic colors I also bought, I was able to mix all other colors.

From then on, a new layer of this painting was created each night.
